Christmas tree decorations, “Adbusters” love and even more insomnia

Oh gee, it’s our Christmas tree. I experimented with about 10 different camera settings, trying to get the bastard Canon A610 to please me. This photo turned out quite dark but I still like it.

With this camera setting, the lights blurred into little hearts. Maw.

90% of our Christmas ornaments are ski-related ornaments the Boy had before we started dating. There are about 4 ornaments on the tree that are mine–and they are all coated in glitter (big surprise).

If you know me in real life, you probably received this Christmas card from the Boy and I this year. We designed it ourselves and I had Kinkos print it up (super cheap). The inside of the card reads: “Don’t get overwhelmed by hype! Remember the true meaning of Christmas this year“.
I was so pleased with our card I e-mailed this to “Adbusters“:
Dear Adbusters,
My husband and I subscribe, collect, and adore your magazine. Here is the Christmas card we designed this year to send to our friends and family—inspired by you.
I’ve attached a photo of the cover of the card.
The inside reads: “Don’t get overwhelmed by hype! Remember the true meaning of Christmas this year”.
Thank you for inspiring us to be better people!
Love,
[the who cares girl and Boy]
If “Adbusters” actually publishes my e-mail in their magazine, it will be my DREAM COME TRUE–I love that magazine so very very very much. It has undone 14.6666%* of the fashion magazine brainwashing.
Insomnia and I are up at 3 this morning, but at least I know why–I have a doctor’s appointment this morning to discuss pre-baby crap and it’s been looming over my head all week long. I hate going to the doctor’s office, period. However, it’s a necessary evil. I even did 15 minutes of yoga and 15 minutes on the treadmill yesterday in the hopes that my body would let me sleep in today. Of course, I did go to bed at 9 o’clock last night. Talk about geriatric behavior.
* I still have a long way to go.
