Inspiration

…makes me wild with desire. Kissyfur e-mailed me this; we love our mid-90s fashion. Naomi, Kate, Helena, Amber, yes yes yes!!!

It doesn’t say, but I’d be willing to bet that’s Ellen Von Unwerth’s blond head snapping away with the camera. I’ve been obsessed with her photography ever since the Vogue layout from 1994 featuring Nadja Auermann (remember her?) as a Viking Goddess swinging from a tree in drippy, tattered Chloe. Sighhh, memorieeeeeeees…….

(thanks Gala Darling for posting this video)

Sometimes at night before I fall asleep I have creative ideas. Last night I was thinking it would be cool to do a series of small paintings of each color of my wigs, since I do have a wig in nearly every color. Such as:
silver and red
Red/Orange

shock and awe
Yellow

neon neon everywhere!
Green

blue lulu
Blue

lash out
Purple

decorated bra
Pink

Just an idear, in between thinking about how to get those awful pinkish stains out of the bathtub and re-arranging my closet to indicate summer weather, even though the weather is, well yeah. No more bitching about the weather TODAY, LIZ!

Last night I made curried turkey loaf with a spiced cranberry compote and sauteed zucchini and mushrooms for dinner. The Boy remarked that he was happy that we are eating “healthy” again. I am too. And I only had sugar yesterday in the form of ginger ale and my Yoplait yogurt. Note: the Boston Cream Pie flavor does NOT taste like Boston Cream Pie, also the “light” flavors suck ass. Don’t bother, blog reader.

What should I sew next? Gimme gimme gimme ideas!

I haven’t found any photographer whose Polaroid portraits I admire more. And this is why.
